Prince2™
Why undertake PRINCE2™ Certification?
One of the most highly regarded and broadly accepted qualifications, PRINCE2™, (Projects in Controlled Environments) is a project management method covering the organisation, management and control of projects. PRINCE2™ is widely used in both the public and private sectors and has become the UK's de facto standard for generic project management, not just for IT projects. It is increasingly being adopted around the world. What is involved in PRINCE2™ Certification?
- Prince2 - Foundation
- Prince2 - Foundation & Practitioner
- Prince2 - Practitioner
- Prince2 - Re-Registration Workshop
Both Foundation and Practitioner level qualifications are attained by passing the relevant examinations, which are set and controlled by the APMG. The Foundation examination is a 1 hour closed book multi-choice paper, whereas the Practitioner examination is a more demanding 3-hour open book long answer paper.
The Foundation examination is taken at the end of Foundation course. Delegates who have attended this course may go on to take the Practitioner examination which will take place on the last day of the Practitioner course.
Delegates attending the 5-day Foundation & Practitioner course take both examinations.
In order to retain the status of "Registered PRINCE2™ Practitioner", candidates must pass the 1-hour open book long answer Re-registration examination every 3-5 years. This examination is taken at the end of the 1 or 2 day Practitioners Re-registration Workshop.
PRINCE2 ™ is a Trade Mark of the Office of Government Commerce.
