Overview
This VMware Virtual Desktop Manager hands-on training course, targeted at experienced VMware Infrastructure 3 administrators, covers installation, configuration, and management of a VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) using VMware Virtual Desktop Manager (VDM). The course focuses on the delivery of virtual Windows® desktops using the VDM connection-server.
Target Audience
Systems administrators and systems integrators experienced with VMware Infrastructure 3 who are responsible for their organization’s deployment of VMware virtual-desktop technology.
Prerequisites
Completion of VMware Infrastructure 3: Install and Configure or equivalent experience with VMware Infrastructure 3 (Recommended)
Delegates will learn how to
- Create an Active Directory infrastructure for virtual desktops
- Apply Group Policy Objects and roaming-profile technology in a VMware virtual desktop infrastructure
- Create and manage Windows XP and Vista virtual desktops using VMware VDM 2.0.
