Overview

Projects bring together resources, skills, technology and ideas to deliver business benefits or to achieve business objectives. Good project management helps to ensure that these benefits and objectives are delivered to an appropriate level of quality and within the constraints of time and cost. It is also an essential element in managing the risks inherent in change and innovation. PRINCE2 is a comprehensive, structured project management method used extensively by the UK government. It is also widely recognised and used by the private sector, both in the UK and internationally. The method can be applied to all kinds of project including information systems projects. The aim of the course is to provide delegates with a comprehensive and applied understanding of PRINCE2 and to prepare delegates for the Foundation and Practitioner Certificate in PRINCE2. The course fee includes a copy of the 2005 edition of the PRINCE2 manual and examination fees for both the Foundation and Practitioner exams.

This course is designed for project managers, team managers, project assurance and project support staff. The course is also suitable for experienced project mangers requiring a comprehensive, practical introduction to the PRINCE2 method.

The course is intensive and delegates are advised to undertake some revision work in the evenings to prepare for the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner examinations that are taken during the course.
